Real estate sales started off on a strong note in Ada County this year. As you can see in the graph above 406 homes sold in January 2014, a 12% increase from January of last year.   Historically, January is noted for one of the lowest sales of the year; usually rising until it peaks through the summer months. Last year, July had the highest sales; right at the peak of the heat summer of '13. It will be exciting to see how 2014 reflects new increases in real estate sales as the season transitions through spring and summer.
The Ada County foreclosure rate is also continually dropping. As you can see in the graph below foreclosures dropped 14% from last year; foreclosures only accounted for 11.6% of total real estate sales. The…

More than once, Boise has been named one of the best places to live in America for various reasons, including being one of the best places to raise a family and best places to retire. Well, Yahoo Shine just added Idaho's capital city to another "Best Places…" list. According to the article, it, along with cities like San Diego, Long Beach and Boulder, ranks as one of the 9 fittest cities in the West. It's no wonder that so many people look at Boise, Idaho real estate when they're thinking of relocating from neighboring states. Just living here has the potential to make you healthy!

Many people wonder if they can buy a home in Boise if they have student loan debt, and a couple of days ago, I wrote an article giving first-time home buyers some information about some possible steps to being a home if they have student loans.

The blog post dealt primarily with some alternative means to getting into your first new home. To get you up to speed, you could, like many families looking to buy one of the Boise homes for sale in the area, get a loan from your family. Formalized programs exist that protect the person loaning you the money for the home and allow you to avoid some of the debt-to-income issues that may arise from having too much student debt.

Usually, the tips for first time home buyers can include ideas like visit with your lender or have your home appraised. While these home loan ideas are certainly the traditional way of doing things, it doesn't mean they're the only way that you'll be able to buy one of those Boise homes for sale that you've got your eye on.
