Ada County Homes Sale Increase 19% | Boise Real Estate Sales

Posted by Jace Stolfo on Friday, October 3rd, 2008 at 2:14pm.

Single Family Homes sold in Ada County rose over 19% in September 2008 compared to September 2007.  This is the first year-over-year increase since December 2005.  This follows the positive signs we saw in July and August when inventory started declining.  The market is showing signs of correction.

It's important to remember September sales are actually a reflection of activity in August as it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to close a transaction.  With the recent financial turmoil in the news, this trend may not continue into October but we'll see.

September 2008: 497 Single Family Homes Sold

September 2007: 402 Single Family Homes Sold

I will post all the sale data when it comes out in about a week.
