When people are thinking of relocating from one state to another, many times they wonder what are the safest states to live in. Happily, Idaho ranks as one of the safest places in America to move to if you're facing a move.

Yahoo Homes, Idaho reports that Idaho earned its #7 ranking on the top ten list of safe places to live because of the following factors. These were taken from the FBI's 2013 Uniform Crime Report. This list measures the number of incidences for the following crimes:

  • Murder/ manslaughter
  • Rape
  • Robbery
  • Aggravated assault
  • Burglary
  • Arson
  • Larceny
  • Vehicle thefts
Other factors aside from crime also went into the formula. Among them were educational attainments and income and poverty rates.

Mortgage Interest Rates dropped significantly this week with the 15 year fixed-rate (FRM) & 5-Year ARM hitting record lows (1).

According to the Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS), the 15-year FRM averaged 3.54% this week while the 5-year ARM averaged 3.18%.  The  30-year FRM hit its lowest level in 2011 averaging 4.39%.
