Eagle Real Estate
Eagle Idaho real estate is more of a rural community in the Boise metro market. That is to say that while it’s now a town of 32,000 residents, it still retains its small village atmosphere, making it a very attractive destination for people looking at homes for sale in Eagle, Idaho.
Eagle got its start as many Western towns did when gold was discovered in 1862, promoting an influx of people looking to strike it rich. Back then, some made their fortune by digging in the dirt looking for gold.
Most people who settled in Eagle in the early days made their life, if not their fortunes digging in the dirt for food. Eagle, Idaho real estate flourished when the residents here tapped into the real treasure of the valley, agriculture.
Still, by 1970, only about 350 people occupied homes in Eagle. Mostly, it was dotted with rural farms, which swept past the car window on an Sunday afternoon drive. Eagle itself snuggled in between the Boise Foothills and the Boise River. In fact, it wasn’t that long ago that Eagle was mostly a destination for afternoon fishermen who wanted to get out of Boise to drop a fishing line into the water, but still only be gone for part of an afternoon. However, in time with the addition of the golf course and nearby Hewlett Packard, Eagle, Idaho became a desirable place to live in its own right, offering many amenities to those who call Eagle, Idaho home.
